Mrs. Mary HILLS

Mrs. Mary A. HILLS passed away at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. A.W. MASON, on 20 February 1920.

She was born in Jefferson County, N.Y. on 15 September 1841, and was a daughter of the late Louis and Mary HOWE WHEELOCK. She was left an orphan at the age of eight years and then went to live with an uncle, D.D. HOWE, coming to Wisconsin in 1849. She was united in marriage on 10 April 1860 to Henry A. HILLS, who passed away 13 August 1908.

Nine children were born to them, four daughters having preceded her in death. Those left to mourn the loss of a loving mother are Mrs. Mary CROFOOT, Chicago; H.W. HILLS, and Mrs. Cornelia MASON of Calamus; Mrs. Lucy SHESKEY of Ingram, Wis., and L.L. HILLS of Coer d'Alene, Idaho.

Funeral services will be held at the McKintry-Yauman undertaking parlors on Tuesday, 24 February, at 12:30 p.m., conducted by Rev. T.S. JOHNSON. Burial will be at the Oakwood cemetery.
