Notes for Louis Herbert NODING


Louis Herbert Noding and Nelson Lee were born May 15, 1934 in the farm home. Louis weighed 4 lbs 10 ozs and Nelson Lee, 5 lbs 4 ozs. Dr. John V. Carlson, M.D. delivered them, his first set of twins. The largest baby died the next day of cerebral hemorhage. Louis was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church in Westbrook, Minnesota. He graduated from Westbrook High School and farmed south of the town.

On October 10, 1952 he married Bonnie Sturges and they moved onto their farm in Rosehill Township. After years of farming, they sold the farm and they bought Bonnie's grandfather's house in Westbrook. After completely renovating the house, they sold it and moved to their new home in Phoenix, Arizona where Louis is a Journeyman in Carpentry. Bonnie suffered a sever stroke in 1982, and has since recovered and is in sales and picture framing in Phoenix.
