Notes for NeElian N. GRAFF
NeElian was the son of Nels N. Graff who was born Vermeland, Sweden on 21 December 1842. Nels immigrated from Sweden to the United States in 1869 and homesteaded a 320 acre farm in Minnehaha County, Brandon Township in 1870 NeElian's mother's name was Elise Axelson, who came to this country with Nels N. Graff and one son.
NeElian (Neil) and Ellen (Ella) were married February 20, 1906 at Springdale Lutheran Church which is east of Sioux Falls and Harrisburg, South Dakota. Neil and Ella had a family of 7: Oral, arlan, Burnie, Herbert, Robert, Harvey, and Miles. As of August 1993, only 3 are still living: Herbert, Harvey, and Miles. All the family have been or will be interred in the Brandon Cemetery, as were the grandparents and great grandparents on the Graff side.
