History

With his wife Elizabeth and five children, Edward HOWE embarked on the "Truelove" for New England in 1635. Originally from Barkhampstead, Co. Herts., England, the family settled at Lynn, Massachusetts, 19 September 1635. Edward was made freeman 8 December 1636. He served in the Colonial Wars at Block Island and New London (two battles against the indians in the Pequot War, 1637). He was a representative at the March, May and September General Courts in 1638. Edward HOWE died very suddenly April 1639.
