m. 7 June 1904 at Mr. Minor's home in Currie by Rev. W.H. Wood, Presbyterian Minister. (Marriage record, Murray County, MN)

d. From infection brought on by a farming accident. Bruised his right leg against a wagon wheel as he worked about his farm home three miles north of Slayton. Infection developed in what at first seemed a trivial injury and the disease progressed rapidly. He was taken to the Tracy hospital for treatment to stay the inroads of the infection, but despite the efforts of physicians and nurses it became worse, spreading over much of the leg.
