History

Samuel WHITE was born at Scituate, Massachusetts, about 13 March 1646. He married Rebecca ____ about 1668; probably the daughter baptized to Thomas LAPHAM at Scituate 22 March 1646, the very same day as the baptismal of Samuel. Samuel WHITE was in Sandwich as early as 20 May 1667 and was still in Sandwich 8 June 1671. In 1679 he was listed as one of the proprietors of Rochester. The children were born in Sandwich and Rochester but all were recorded in Rochester.
